The global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic shook modern society like never before.
Our multidisciplinary team joined forces with the Dutch government to restore normality for 17 million inhabitants by balancing speed and quality in this new unpredictable reality.
We will explore how design played a crucial role in creating a user-friendly and accessible app that grants access to venues based on Covid certificates: navigating privacy, security, and stakeholder management requirements while iteratively employing design approaches to ensure a holistic and inclusive user experience. Working as a Service designer and UX design lead in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Health for the development of CoronaCheck was our biggest and most impactful challenge yet. Its scope involved an entire nation and its diverse population, with a great set of stakeholders to manage and requirements to meet, while dealing with an unpredictable reality.
