I am a seasoned expert in usability, human factors, and user-centered design, specializing in the healthcare domain. I lead the M²AXI Usability Lab at the Department of Biomedical Informatics, Medical Faculty Mannheim, Heidelberg University, where I advance both academic research and industry collaboration. My work spans comprehensive usability studies and the evaluation of interactions between users and medical systems, software, and devices. By partnering with clinical teams and industry stakeholders, I bridge research and practice to create user-centric solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare technologies, ultimately improving patient outcomes and satisfaction. Working across academia, clinics, and industry, I drive solutions that translate usability principles into tangible improvements in healthcare systems and devices that are not only innovative but also practical and responsive to the realities of clinical practice.
