Genevieve Brechel is a senior experience and service designer and CX researcher with 9+ years turning customer understanding into products, services, and decisions that last. Working as a consultant across many organisations, in healthcare, life sciences, energy, automotive, aviation, finance and publishing, much of it through Thoughtworks and alongside her own practice, GB | Genevieve Brechel Consulting, she has built products zero-to-one and seen the same gap each time: a product never stands alone, yet very few organisations have a working setup where the journey actually lives, so the full picture stays missing. That matters more than ever now that building is easy. The hard part is building to last, seeing the bird’s-eye view and the dependencies clearly enough to grow a product, and the service around it, that holds up. That cross-organisational, systems view, including in regulated, high-stakes environments like healthcare and life sciences, is what she brings to this workshop. She works end to end, from continuous discovery and CX research through co-design facilitation, journeys and service blueprints, to UX/UI and launch, with a deliberate, purpose-over-hype approach to AI. She returns to the UX Healthcare Europe stage following her 2025 talk “Embracing Uncertainty: How Meaningful Co-Design Can Reduce Risk and Improve Your Research Data Products,” also presented at the Pistoia Alliance UX for Life Science Conference. Beyond client work, she is Community Lead at Service Design Drinks Berlin and a Service Design Network Ambassador, co-hosting SDN’s live-streamed Community Voices podcast, and volunteered as a UX/UI mentor at ReDI School Berlin.
