Lanre Jerry-Ijishakin is a User Experience Researcher at Macadamian technologies, a healthcare consultancy. With 8+ years of healthcare experience, Larnre has worn many hats. She started as a Pharmacist and later went on to practice as a Public Health Specialist in different domains – HIV management, supply chain, and family planning. Being intimately familiar with the pitfalls and pain points of the field, but also with how rewarding and impactful this work is, her passion for leveraging technology and human-centred design to improve the health outcome for all is short of contagious. As a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), Lanre actively supports UX teams in considering accessibility in product or service design. She is a firm believer that accessibility & inclusion practices are beneficial not just for the people, but businesses as well.
