Anyone who visits an emergency room (ER) knows you’ll have to wait a long time. On average, a patient in the Netherlands waits almost 3 hours(!) when visiting the ER. The Jeroen Bosch Hospital (JBZ) wondered: “How can we improve the patient’s experience in the emergency room?” With running a Design Sprint, we gained insight into the care process, improved the waiting experience, and designed and tested the innovative solution – in just four days. From post-its and sketches to prototypes on the patient’s smartphone. All taking place in the emergency room of the top clinical hospital itself.

In this session, we provide insight into what a Design Sprint is, how it works and how you can use it within your organisation to accelerate digital innovation. What steps do you want to take within your organisation?
