As a junior researcher at the Leiden University Medical Center and the National eHealth Living Lab, Charlotte strongly believes that UCD and evidence-based eHealth should come hand in hand to create meaningful solutions for future healthcare. During her PhD at the department of Public Health and Primary Care she works together with design researchers from the Delft University of Technology to design a smart inhaler which can be used to support asthma patients to adhere to their inhalation medication. Her research is carried out at the National eHealth Living Lab (NeLL), a collaborative community for the development of expedient eHealth. NeLL believes that eHealth will be a fully integrated part of future healthcare. To get there, evidence-based digital health(care) is a must. NeLL facilitates research, shares knowledge and insights and connects people and parties with the ultimate goal: ‘together build healthcare of the future’.
